S. Miguel, Azores

The S. Miguel's Island diverse scenery is a reminder of how beautiful this earth is. It's beautiful lakes, sandy beaches, hills and high mountains, green pastures, and blue ocean are spectacular. The people of this island are kind of courteous, they stop a car for you to cross the street, extend an handshake and greeting to a stranger and welcome those that visit with a smile. The Hortensia flower is present everywhere you go, giving the island a sense of a continuous garden.

The island's population is about 150.000, a place of tranquility and peace, many say it is a mixture of Switzerland and Hawaii.
